Empowering youth for a brighter future.
About Odessa Health
Odessa Health is on a mission to transform youth wellness and mental health equity. In a world where nearly half of all lifelong mental health challenges begin by age 18 [1], and almost 50% of young people face declining mental health [2], the time to act is now. Odessa Health pioneers a transformative approach to promote youth's social-emotional health and wellness, focusing on underserved communities. Through a youth-led strategy and robust digital infrastructure, we bridge the gap between schools, youth-serving community organizations, and healthcare providers, empowering the youth and the adults around them. This holistic approach allows us to address key factors perpetuating mental health disparities, academic achievement gaps, and systemic crises like the school-to-prison pipeline.
A Paradigm Shift in Youth Wellness and Equity
What We Solve
Bridging Gaps, Empowering Youth, Building Futures
Existing health and education systems fail to provide accessible, holistic, and meaningful social-emotional empowerment and mental health support, especially for Black youth [3,4,5]. In fact, over 80% of U.S. youth with mental health issues lack adequate care [2]. Odessa Health is rewriting this narrative by elevating youth-driven models of social-emotional learning and translating valuable data into actionable interventions. Our partnership approach involves schools, youth development agencies, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders to create a tiered support system beyond symptom treatment. We aim to dismantle inequities by emphasizing preventive, empowering programs alongside culturally sensitive mental health support.
